Born and raised in San Antonio, with deep roots embedded in Mexico as a first generation Mexican American, US Army combat veteran, Abraham Cazares embodies the American Dream; and his dream is to thrive as an artist invoking emotion and pride through his works.
Utilizing primarily aerosol, acrylic, and airbrush techniques, Abraham has painted numerous murals around the city for local merchants, private investors and nationwide companies. These murals range from artwork inspired by military combat to brightly colored works to celebrate the life and culture of the city.
As a self taught artist, Abraham devoted hours to his craft as a way to work through the transition from military to civilian life, and in that, found his true passion. Pressured (in the best way) by friends and family to showcase his art at live art events propelled Abraham into exploring new techniques, like aerosol and airbrush, and really pushed him outside his comfort zone with his artwork. This is where the profession of art began to blossom for him as an artist.
He hopes that the evolution of his art, from beginner to professional will inspire two distinct groups of people; the first generation persons with dreams that may seem to far outside the realm of possibility, and the military persons adjusting to a new way of life and learning to cope with loss through self rebirth.
