I love looking at photography from the frontlines of the Vietnam war. Alot of those guys were very expressive with their helmet graffiti and small ways they would customize and personalize their equipment. This was inspired by a photo pf a guy with a toy bull strapped to his helmet and in the photo he's got a slight grin on his face as he's intentionally trying to be distracting and ridiculous which makes it hilarious. But i wanted to go in another direction with these troops and give them different playing cards of the deck in the elastic bands of their helmets. This guy has the joker card because he has a good sense of humor.
