Inspired by black n white Vietnam War photography, this pig gunner is number 20 of many in the series I call "phantoms." Society knows everything about celebrities who contribute nothing to the world. Yet, no one ever knows the name of a warrior willing to fight and die for their way of life. They are nameless and faceless phantoms on distant battlefields, and I find that myself and many others like me can relate to that. This is a print of an original acrylic painting that was fairly large. It sold at an auction held by a military non-profit that assists veterans.
